As Mississippi State prepares to travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium this weekend to take on Alabama, it looks like they will be doing so without one of its best offensive players.
Running back Kylin Hill is expected to leave the team and prepare for the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft rather than playing out the rest of the season, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
On Monday head coach Mike Leach said the back was “still unavailable” after receiving a suspension following the team’s loss to Kentucky in Week 3.
Hill has now seemingly weighed his options and chosen to focus on his pro-career after an impressive junior season where he rushed for 1,350 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The absence of Hill will have a definite impact on the Bulldogs as it prepares for the Crimson Tide on Saturday. This season Hill was the team’s second-leading receiver in Leach’s pass-heavy offense despite only appearing in three games.
