Analysis

Before he sustained a hip injury in 2019, Alabama’s offensive line had Tua Tagovailoa on pace to become the first Crimson Tide quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy.

He had 2,840 passing yards with 33 touchdowns to three interceptions, but the matchup versus Mississippi State brought an unfortunate mishap.

The group of Landon Dickerson, Alex Leatherwood, Deonte Brown, Evan Neal and Jedrick Wills helped Mac Jones achieve success last season, and it ended with him tossing for 327 yards with three scores in a 35-16 win over the Michigan in the Citrus Bowl. After graduating Wills to the NFL Draft, the Tide had a vacancy at right tackle heading into preseason camp.
