Nick Saban enters this week’s game against LSU with the No. 1 team in college football.

After the Associated Press updated its Top-25 poll, the Amway Coaches Poll (via USA TODAY Sports) updated its rankings to have the Crimson Tide as the top program. All updates came on Sunday, following a 40-47 loss that Clemson took from Notre Dame on last week. Dabo Swinney and the Tigers were the No. 1 team in the country, until the upset in overtime happened.

It suffered a defeat to LSU in 2019, but the Tide is ready to return the favor.

This year’s matchup will be at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. Alabama is pushing for an opportunity to win a Southeastern Conference Championship and get to the College Football Playoff. The Tigers, on the other hand, look to salvage its season by defeating the Tide for a second straight season. It will be an entertaining contest, as Alabama will try to remain at No. 1.
