Alabama football’s linebacker haul in the 2021 recruiting class is one of its biggest strengths.
With commitments from Kendrick Blackshire, Deontae Lawson, Ian Jackson and Dallas Turner, who are all 4-Star recruits, this group is easily one of the top in the nation. The Crimson Tide’s outstanding offensive line class has received a lot of attention this cycle and deservedly so, but there is room to be just as excited about this linebacker class. This group will compete toe-to toe with the most recent linebacker groups Nick Saban has pulled in.
Lawson was the first linebacker to commit to Alabama in the 2021 recruiting class and is its longest standing commit. There is an argument to be made that Lawson maybe the most ready to play of the group. The Mobile product possesses elite-level instincts and athleticism at 6-3 and 225 pounds. Lawson is also a very effective tackler, which is something that is over look a lot in the wold of college football today.
Mobile Christian School has used Lawson on both side of the football very effectively this season and his athleticism has been on full display.
