Alabama’s 5-Star athlete commit, Ga’Quincy Mckinstry’s ability to make big plays as a wide receiver overshadows his defensive abilities at times.
However, this was not the case Friday in Pinson Valley’s playoff win over Oxford.

McKinstry was tasked with covering one of the most underrated and talented wide receivers in the country in Roc Taylor, who is verbally committed to Tennessee. The big-body wide receiver is usually a major weapon for the Oxford Yellow Jackets with his ability to make tough catches in traffic. However, McKinstry proved he was up to the task and was able to limit Taylor.
The Alabama commit did not give up a single reception when covering the Vols’ commit. Here are some highlights from McKinstry’s impressive performance.

McKinstry plans to enroll at the University of Alabama in January and forgo his senior basketball season.
