The play in the trenches has just become more intense for the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl.
After watching his teammate, Deonte Brown, accept an invitation for the event, Landon Dickerson of Alabama football is also heading to the venue. A graduate transfer from Florida State, Dickerson is in his second season on the offensive line for the Crimson Tide. He accepted his invite for the Senior Bowl and per Jim Nagy — executive director of the event — Alabama credits Dickerson for single-handedly raising the level of toughness on the interior.

The 6-foot-6, 325-pounder is guiding one of the most explosive and balanced offenses in college football.
Alabama is third nationally for scoring offense (49.5 ppg) and sixth for total offense (548.6 ypg). The program stands at Nos. 1 and 2 respectively in the Southeastern Conference for both areas. Dickerson has Mac Jones averaging 346.6 passing yards and Najee Harris totaling 114 rushing yards per matchup. With the North Carolina native at center, Harris leads college football with 16 rushing touchdowns. He has the Tide on pace to win a conference title and get into the College Football Playoff.
On Tuesday, Alabama opened the initial CFP rankings as the No. 1 seed.

Dickerson also has Jones as one of the leaders in the Heisman Trophy race. Despite some NFL Draft analysts seeing him as an early second-rounder, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine projects him as a first-round selection for next year.
This is a great opportunity for him, but he is focused on the Iron Bowl this weekend for now.
