In the 85th edition of the Iron Bowl, Nick Saban will not be on the sideline for Alabama.

Due to mild Coronavirus symptoms, Saban will not coach the Crimson Tide for the first time in 14 years. While he is recovering in quarantine, Saban appointed Steve Sarkisian to lead the team against Auburn at Bryant-Denny Stadium on senior day.

After suffering a 45-48 loss in 2019 at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Tide is set to avenge itself.

Listed below are some pregame notes prior to kickoff, per yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine.

-After missing last week, Paul Tyson is back in action.

-The redshirt freshman quarterback went through warmups with his position.

-Slade Bolden (receiver) and Miller Forristall (tight end) are back in the lineup.

-Bolden left the Kentucky game after an ankle injury, while Forristall did not play due to being banged up versus Miss. State.

-Javon Baker, true freshman, still is second behind John Metchie at the Z receiver.

-Xavier Williams, receiver, is in street clothes. He has an undisclosed injury.

-Alabama was missing Stephon Wynn on its defensive line last week, but he’s back for the Iron Bowl.
