After weeks of speculation, Doug Pederson has finally pulled the trigger and named rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts the new starting quarterback.
The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, as Hurts will make his first career start against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Hurts has been used sparingly throughout the season mainly in run centric packages, but last week against the Green Bay Packers, Hurts entered the ball game for the second half and was able to make some plays with his arm and legs.
At one point the former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback was able to get things to a one-possession game until Green Bay eventually pushed on to a 30-16 win.
