LSU alum says there is no happiness at Alabama, just emotionless high expectations

The rivalry between Alabama and LSU has become a hot button topic in the past two years.

After the Tigers came into Bryant-Denny Stadium and defeated the Crimson Tide 45-41, Tide fans have taken great exception to how the opposing players celebrated on their field along with the viral videos which came along later on.

Naturally, in 2020, Alabama had last week’s game circled on its calendar to give some long-awaited payback, which it did in the form of a 55-17 win.

Now with that Crimson Tide fans have the year to tout its decisive victory, some Tiger fans aren’t too pleased by the extra trash talk. One of those fans is former LSU center T-Bob Hebert, who on his daily ESPN radio show shared some comments about how the Crimson Tide carries themselves through its dynasty.

In his nearly 90 second response to an Alabama fan’s phone call, Hebert compared the rival to Siberia and the USSR, and that their fans don’t experience happiness like LSU fans do because Alabama fans are married to such a high expectation and anything that falls short is considered a failure.

The clip was obviously met with opposition from Alabama fans online, even with former offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor sharing his thoughts.

No matter when you lose in college football, supporters on the losing end will always go to great lengths to defend their team, and this situation is no different.
