Armoni Goodwin re-opened his recruitment in November and has stated Alabama is one of the programs he will take a look at before he makes an official decision.
Goodwin is one of the top running back prospects in the country. His blend of speed and power make him a top target for several SEC programs, including the Crimson Tide. Alabama has yet to pick up a verbal commitment from a running back in the 2021 recruiting class but is open to possibly adding one.

The Hewitt-Trussville product told Touchdown Alabama, he has a close relationship with some of Alabama’s current players and coaches.
“I have a good relationship with a lot of their players,” Goodwin said. “Malachi Moore, Paul Tyson and Pierce (Quick) those are my boys, they have been trying to recruit me. I also have a good relationship with coach (Karl) Scott. We are really close.”
Moore, Tyson and Quick played with Goodwin during their time at Hewitt-Trussville.
An official decision could come from Goodwin during the early signing period. He has also mentioned that Auburn, Georgia and LSU are still in the mix.
Wearing a LSU undershirt and LSU gloves, the talented running back participated in the first practice for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game Tuesday. Goodwin will be one of the featured running backs for team Alabama in the annual event Saturday. After falling to team Mississippi the last couple of years, this year’s Alabama team will try to change this trend.
“I am ready to get on the field with these boys,” Goodwin said. “I think we are going to win this year. We got too many good players”
Goodwin went on to say that he felt this year’s game presents a unique opportunity.
“I think it is a great opportunity,” Goodwin added. “It is going to be against harder competition with it being the top players inside the state of Mississippi. Some of these guys are going to be starting in college soon.”
