Kaine Williams signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Alabama Wednesday.
Williams currently attends John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana. He chose Alabama over LSU and Texas A&M. Williams told Touchdown Alabama he still could not believe he was an Alabama commit earlier this month.
“It really is a blessing,” Williams said. “I still can not believe it but at the end of the day, it is reality. I just look at it as a blessing.”
At 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, Williams is a big-body safety with good ball skills. He can come downhill and make bruising tackles, which forces fumbles. Alabama plans to play Williams at safety but there is room for him to grow into a linebacker.
