Tyrie Cleveland was a good sport, but he had to pay Jerry Jeudy.
Even for players that are no longer at the University of Alabama, the Crimson Tide alums do not mind betting on Nick Saban and their Alma mater. Cleveland, an alumnus of the University of Florida, placed a wager with Jeudy for the SEC Championship Game on last week.
Cleveland was a receiver for the Gators from 2016 to 2019, prior to being taken in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. In the Tide earning a 52-46 victory, Cleveland had to wear an Alabama hoodie.

The post would be deleted from Instagram, but Cleveland captioned the photo of him in the hoodie with “Alabama is the best team in college football?” Although the Broncos have three former Alabama players — Jeudy, Mark Barron and Kareem Jackson — the bet was between Jeudy and Cleveland. Jeudy, who played with the Tide from 2017 to 2019, was an SEC Champion in 2018 and a College Football Playoff National Champion in 2017. A native of South Florida, Jeudy won the Biletnikoff Award in 2018.
Coach Saban and the Tide will face Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl (CFP semifinal) on Jan. 1, 2021.
