Jaeden Roberts announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Christmas Day.
Roberts is a product of North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. He is the Crimson Tide’s fifth offensive linemen pledge. Roberts’ commitment gives Alabama 25 signees in the 2021 recruiting class. He signed with the Tide during the early signing period.
Alabama was able to get Roberts on campus in February for one of its Junior Day visits. He got an opportunity to connect with Nick Saban during that trip to Tuscaloosa.
“The visit was good,” Roberts told Touchdown Alabama. “My talk with (Nick) Saban was a well-spoken conversation about what it would look like to be at Alabama and how they take care of their players.”
The state of Texas has been very good to Alabama during the 2021 cycle. Six 2021 prospects have committed or signed with Alabama.
Rated as a four-star recruit, Roberts possesses a massive build at 6-foot-5 and 340 pounds. His biggest strength is his run-blocking ability as he finishes blocks. The Texas product will most likely play guard for most of his college career but has the potential to be a versatile lineman.
