Even the opponents of the Crimson Tide cannot deny DeVonta Smith’s greatness.
He is the recipient of the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, CBS Sports Player of the Year, Sporting News Player of the Year and Associated Press (AP) Player of the Year awards. The legendary wide receiver for Alabama football is also a finalist for the Biletnikoff, Maxwell, Walter Camp honors too. Smith a first-team All-American selection for Sporting News and the AP.

He is a finalist for the Heisman Memorial Trophy and while he stands with Mac Jones for the award, one head coach for the Southeastern Conference made a case for Smith to be the winner. Kirby Smart, a former defensive coordinator at Alabama, is in his fifth season at the helm for the University of Georgia.
He watched Smith on the receiving end of a game-winning, 41-yard touchdown reception that took a national title away from him in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship.
After that moment, Smart would witness the former four-star do some incredible things.
One of those feats included burning his Bulldog secondary again this season. Smith caught 11 passes in the matchup for 167 receiving yards with two touchdowns in a 41-24 victory for the Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
According to Smart, Smith is the ‘best player in college football.’

The Heisman Trophy is awarded to the best player in the sport, and a new winner will be announced on Jan. 5, 2021.
