Trey Sanders is not letting anything distract him or his team from winning a national championship.
A native of Port Saint Joe, Fla., the former five-star running back is still rehabbing from injuries he sustained in a car accident during Alabama’s regular season. His head coach, Nick Saban, and his teammates were very thankful he was okay, but his injuries forced him to miss the remainder of the year. Prior to the incident, Sanders was starting to show off his marquee talents.

He replaced Brian Robinson in a matchup against Mississippi State and totaled 80 yards rushing on 12 carries.
Fans of the Crimson Tide got a taste of what Sanders can provide, unfortunately his season was cut short.
According to a report from Michael Langston of Warchant, a Rivals site that covers Florida State football, he had Sanders mentioned as one of his 12 key targets for the Seminoles for preps and transfers. The 6-foot, 214-pounder chose the Tide over Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Texas in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
He took to Twitter to dispel the rumors.

Sanders is looking forward to reliving his redshirt freshman year at Alabama.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the NCAA does not count this year against the eligibility of student-athletes.
He totaled 30 carries for 134 yards, but 2021 will be the year for Sanders.
