Just one day after securing a victory in the Rose Bowl, Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is on the move.
Sources have informed Touchdown Alabama’s Stephen M. Smith that Sarkisian is expected to be named the head coach at Texas after the Longhorns announced the firing of Tom Herman on Saturday.
Sarkisian will remain as the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator until the completion of the College Football Playoff National Championship game against Ohio State.
Last week Sarkisian won the Broyles Award which is handed out to college football’s top assistant coach.
This will be Sarkisian’s third head coaching job after two stints in the Pac-12 with Washington and USC.
This post will be updated.
