He has not even been to his lake house yet, but Nick Saban is having a busy offseason.

With assistant coaches making other plans, reports keep piling up on Alabama football staffers looking to take other job opportunities.

Charlie Strong, a defensive analyst for the Crimson Tide, is now the latest name for a new appointment. According to Rick Ballou, a sideline reporter for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Strong is expected to join Urban Meyer.

Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports has Strong linked to the same situation with the Jags.

Strong, 60, is well respected as one of the best defensive minds in college football.

Before helping the Tide win a College Football Playoff National Championship in an off-field role, he was the defensive coordinator for a pair of BCS national titles (2006, 2008) with the Florida Gators. Strong was a head coach at Louisville (2010-13), Texas (2014-16) and South Florida (2017-19), prior to becoming an analyst under Saban at Alabama.

No one knows the capacity he would serve in for the Jaguars; however, his name has been linked to the job.
