Tennessee sophomore linebacker, Henry To’o To’o announced he was entering the transfer portal Wednesday, and Alabama could be a possible landing spot for the California product.

Alabama football was a major player in To’o To’o’ s original recruitment. He committed and signed with the Volunteers on National Signing Day over Alabama and Washington.

After losing Dylan Moses and Joshua McMillion to the NFL Draft, the Tide will return some experience inside linebackers next season. Sophomore linebacker, Christian Harris has started two years for Alabama football, and Shane Lee started every game as a freshman. Jaylen Moody, Ale Kaho, Jackson Bratton and Demouy Kennedy are also returning along with Alabama adding 2021 linebackers, Kendrick Blackshire, Ian Jackson and Deontae Lawson.

But with the NCAA allowing immediate eligibility for transfers and an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19, To’o To’o could immediately add more experience to Alabama’s linebacker room.

The sophomore was productive during his time as a Volunteer. He started 22 games and led Tennessee in tackles with 76 as a sophomore. As a freshman, he had 72 tackles.

To’o To’o is one of if not the top linebacker prospect currently in the transfer portal. Alabama will be a team to watch out for in the race to add this talented linebacker if they choose to go after some prospects in the transfer portal.
