Devin Moore reported he received an offer from Alabama football Friday.

The Crimson Tide is the 28th program to offer the Naples, Florida product. Nick Saban informed Moore of his offer from Alabama.

“The feeling was overwhelming,” Moore said. “It was my dream school growing up, and it was great to get an offer from them. It is also a dream come true that Nick Saban told me about the offer. It was a great memory and a great feeling.”

That was the first time Moore ever talk to Saban. After that conversation, the three-star recruit said he understands why Alabama has been successful under the seven-time National Championship winning coach.

“I think he is a serious and real guy,” Moore told Touchdown Alabama. “I can see how he runs their program so successful because he is so straightforward. He loves to work, and he loves the grind.”

Moore is a lengthy defensive back at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. He excels in man-to-man coverage and has the speed to play bump and run. Saban was really impressed with his coverage skills, according to Moore.

“He told me that there are obviously losing Patrick  Surtain to the draft this year, and they are going to need some corners in the near future because Jobe is coming back, but he will most likely leave next season,” Moore added. “He said they are a man coverage team, and they like man-to-man corners. He also told me my build, speed, athleticism and my coverage skills remind him of Surtain, and that I am a tall guy who can come in and fit into their scheme.”

A commitment decision is not expected to come anytime soon for Moore. He wants to take some visits before he moves closer to a decision.

“I am crossing my fingers and hoping that they lift the dead period,” Moore said. “I want to get out and visit these places in person. I definitely want to get Alabama. It will probably be the first place I go.”
