The University of Alabama won a national championship in college football for 2020, regardless of a global pandemic, a conference-only schedule, a new starting quarterback, an injury at wide receiver, and a defense that was ok at best.
It ran through its Southeastern Conference slate, allowing one team (Florida) to be within a touchdown of it.

After replacing four offensive coaches — Steve Sarkisian, Kyle Flood, Charles Huff, and Jeff Banks — Nick Saban has to replace leadership at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and on the offensive line. Should he have success, the Crimson Tide will be back in the driver’s seat for another championship. It will open the 2021 campaign versus the Miami Hurricanes in Atlanta.
