Could the Philadelphia Eagles have a Jalen to Jaylen connection?

People are hoping for it, especially with the Eagles committed to Jalen Hurts as its starting quarterback. On Monday, Chris Mortensen of ESPN broke the news on Philadelphia moving forward with Hurts as its guy. As it looks to build around him, three wide receivers are projected to be selected in the top-10 of the NFL Draft.

Jaylen Waddle, a standout from the University of Alabama, is one of the three. He and Hurts both hail from the Houston (Texas) area and have a great relationship.

When he was asked about which Alabama player will have the best career from this draft class, Hurts’ response was Waddle.

He sees the former four-star as a difference-maker on offense. Waddle caught 106 passes in his career with the Crimson Tide, including 17 for touchdowns. The 5-foot-10, 182-pounder has the hands, speed, vision, toughness, and routes to be an explosive primary target at receiver.

Philadelphia released DeSean Jackson this offseason, and Waddle is one of few playmakers that can create instant offense in this class.

The Eagles have the sixth overall pick and if it gets Waddle, Hurts will put the league on notice.
