Alabama’s defensive front set a physical tone in first scrimmage of spring practice

Pete Golding has much to look forward to in his fourth year at Alabama, and third as its defensive coordinator.

On Friday, some of his excitement was on display in the first scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

According to Nick Saban, he was pleased with the intensity on the field. The Crimson Tide did a lot of hitting on defense, and Saban said there were a lot of good things to take from the practice.

After turning in 32 sacks last season, Alabama’s defensive front served a notice of physicality in the scrimmage.
