Patrick Surtain II has fulfilled his dream as a top-10 NFL Draft pick.

His father, Patrick Surtain Sr., was taken in the second round of the 1998 draft. After a strong career at Alabama, the young Surtain has been selected by the Denver Broncos at No. 9 overall. A native of Plantation, Fla., he earned Unanimous First-Team All-American honors last season. Surtain finished his career at Alabama with four interceptions and 27 pass breakups.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pounder has length, athleticism, ball skills, ball judgment, and strong technique.

The Broncos will have a strong secondary with Surtain on the outside.
