Deonte “Cornbread” Brown has found an NFL home.
On Saturday, he was selected at No. 193 overall in the sixth round of the NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
Brown is known for his abilities as a run blocker, but he never allowed a sack in his career at Alabama. He cleared the way for a 1,400-yard rusher in Najee Harris, and now he will work with the Panthers. Brown assisted the Crimson Tide’s offensive unit to win the Joe Moore Award and helped Nick Saban win his sixth national championship with the program.
He will add much-needed protection in the continuation of Sam Darnold’s development.
