Alabama head coach Nick Saban released a new public service announcement on Wednesday in conjunction with the Alabama Department of Public Health urging the state’s residents to receive the COVD-19 vaccine.
In the video, Saban encouraged fans to receive the vaccine so fans will be able to come to Bryant-Denny Stadium this fall at full capacity.
“College football fans and players both want stadiums full this fall,” Saban said in the announcement. “Let’s make sure we can safely make this happen by getting vaccinated. Please get your COVID-19 vaccine. We want Bryant-Denny Stadium loud again this coming season. Roll Tide.”

Alabama’s athletic director Greg Byrne said back in March that the university is planning on having 100 percent capacity this fall inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
“We are moving forward with plans to have a full stadium in the fall and will monitor medical guidelines as we have all along,” Byrne shared on social media last month.
Saban was also joined in the making of the PSA by multiple other notable sports figures including former Auburn basketball player Charles Barkley, SEC Commissioner Greg Byrne, U.S. senator Tommy Tuberville and many others according to The Wall Street Journal.
