Amari Niblack announced his verbal commitment to Alabama football Thursday via Facebook.
Niblack is the Crimson Tide’s eighth commit and their second tight end pledge in the 2022 recruiting class. He garners a three-star rating on most recruiting sites. Niblack chose Alabama over offers from Auburn, Florida and others.
Alabama offered Niblack Monday after he impressed Nick Saban and the Tide’s coaching staff at camp. It is no secret that Alabama has been working towards adding receiving tight ends to its roster and it believes Niblack has the potential to be a weapon in the passing game at 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds.
“They complimented me on the way I run my routes, my movement and my ability to go up and get the football,” Niblack said after camping in Tuscaloosa. “At the next level, I see myself as a Travis Kelce type of guy, one of those hybrid type of players.”

Alabama added two tight ends to its roster this off-season when they got a signature from Robbie Ouzts and Caden Clark enrolled in January after taking a grey-shirt in 2020. The position continues to be an area where Nick Saban and company want to add depth.
