She cried as she watched him pay homage to the community that made him a star during his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech, but DeVonta Smith brought more joy to his mother this week.

He signed a four-year, $20.1 million rookie contract for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Smith was selected at No. 10 overall in this year’s NFL Draft after an immaculate career at the University of Alabama.

He won championships, set school records, and will be forever known as a Crimson Tide legend.

However, the silent assassin always has a bigger love for mom.

Smith gifted his mother with a beautiful, brand-new home. According to a video he posted on Instagram, she could not stop crying and they hugged. She wanted him to be the best in everything, and he wanted a moment to give back to her.

Alabama fans love it when athletes from the program sow into the lives of their families.

Smith will be a dominant wide receiver in the pros, but having his mother’s love is his biggest honor.
