Former Alabama wide receiver, DeVonta Smith added to his impressive trophy room by taking home the ESPY for the best college athlete in men’s sports Saturday.
Smith wrapped up his career at the University of Alabama by winning the Heisman trophy en route to breaking several Alabama, SEC and FBS records. The Louisiana native pulled in 117 receptions for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns last season. He also scored once on the ground and returned a punt for a score.
The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Smith in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Smith signed a four-year, 20.1 million dollar contract with the Eagles.
