Hurts has his teammates following him, and Eagle fans are excited to see what happens this season. Before he opens the campaign against the Atlanta Falcons, Hurts was named a team captain by the coaching staff. The native Texan has earned this opportunity to lead his guys to new heights. With the Eagles drafting DeVonta Smith and Landon Dickerson, it has options at wide receiver and on the offensive line to grow with Hurts. Nick Sirianni loves the work ethic of his quarterback and Hurts lives in a winnable division. He’s heard the offseason criticism, but the 2017 national champion is about showing people he fits the NFL.
