Following Alabama’s 31-29 win over Florida, head coach Nick Saban took the podium to address the media and gave a few injury updates on his team.
Running back Brian Robinson came up lame following an early carry in the first quarter of the game where he had to leave the game for a portion of time. Robinson was eventually able to return to action and play the rest of the way, but Saban shed some light on what the senior running back was dealing with.
“You know (Robinson) got banged up a little bit at the end,” Saban said. “I think he bruised his ribs or something.”
Robinson finished the game with 14 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown.
The other main injury concern was from linebacker Will Anderson who entered the game with a right knee injury which he suffered a week ago against Mercer.
Anderson never had to leave the game, but Saban was asked if the linebacker was limping off the field following the game against the Gators.
“He didn’t limp off the field, he was fine,” Saban said. “He played more plays probably and got tired in the game. That was probably his biggest issue. I talked to him in the locker room after the game I asked him if he had any issues he said ‘no’. He said he did get tired in the game. It was humid out there.”
Anderson ended the game with seven total tackles, two tackles for loss and one quarterback hit.
