Hunter Osborne has been one of the hottest prospects in the country this season.
Osborne has pulled in 20 offers since the beginning of September. Those offers include Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Florida. He is continuing to receive a lot of interest from Alabama, and the Hewitt-Trussville junior saw the Crimson Tide play for the third time this season Saturday.
The four-star recruit told Touchdown Alabama he enjoyed the environment the fans help created on Saturday night when Alabama defeated LSU.
“It was good,” Osborne said. “The atmosphere was amazing, and the crowd was surreal. It was my first night game at Bryant-Denny, so I was for sure surprised, and I enjoyed it.”
Alabama has not extended an offer to Osborne yet, but have continued to build a relationship with him. Alabama’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach has been in frequent contact with Osborne since he saw him camp during the summer.
“Contact with them has been going great,” said Osborne. “We talk weekly, so the relationship is definitely there.”
Osborne’s play this season has spoke for itself. He has compiled 56 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks through eleven games. In the Huskies’ first-round win over Bob Jones, Osborne finished the night with 12 total tackles and a sack.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pounder possess a long frame and is really impressive in space. He knows how to time the quarterback’s release and use his long arms to deflect pass at the line of scrimmage as he has accounted for nine pass deflections this season.
