Pope is a four-star recruit out of Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia, Ohio State and others. The four-star recruit said he chose Alabama because of what the program stands for.

“It was just their reputation and how well coach they are,” Pope said. “They get it down on and off the field, it shows.”

The four-star recruit is listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds. He is projected to play safety at the next level. Pope has been exciting to watch for Buford throughout his career with his impressive athleticism.

He has elite ball skills and can high-point the football with his nice vertical. He can also be used as a weapon in the return game.
