Alabama and Cincinnati are inside AT&T Stadium for the 86th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The Crimson Tide are in the College Football Playoff for the seventh time under Nick Saban. Saban is pursuing his eighth national championship and seventh with the Tide. Both teams have prepared, but only one will play for the CFP Championship trophy.

Before kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT, here are notes on the Tide.

-Christopher Allen, a fifth-year senior, made the trip to Dallas, Texas.

-He sustained a foot injury versus Miami and has not played since. Allen’s rehab has been strong, and he performed some backpedals in warmups.
