After an unfortunate end to his tenure with the Crimson Tide, former Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams is progressing well in his recovery from an ACL injury.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport spoke directly with Williams on Tuesday as he told the insider, “I’m feeling awesome. Ready to get down this road.” Rapoport also reported that Williams is already ahead of schedule following the clean tear of his ACL.

Williams injured his knee in the second quarter of Alabama’s national championship game against Georgia earlier in January. He later declared for the NFL just days after the 33-18 loss in the title game and is expected to be amongst the top receivers in the upcoming NFL Draft.

After transferring from Ohio State this past season, Williams saw tremendous success in his one and only season in the crimson and white. He finished as the team’s leader in receiving yards (1,572), receiving touchdowns (15), yards per reception (19.9) and was second on the team in total receptions (79).
