Will Anderson recorded a sophomore season that was legendary for Alabama linebackers.
As an edge rusher, he finished with 100+ tackles (101) — including a team-high 57 solo stops. Anderson led the nation in tackles for loss (34.5) and sacks (17.5) while totaling nine quarterback hurries (team-high) and three pass breakups. His output for single-season sacks ranks third all-time in Crimson Tide history.
Anderson won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, first-team All-SEC honors, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Unanimous All-American honors, and earned permanent team captain honors.

He came up short of winning his second straight national championship, and it’s fueling him for next season.
Alabama has started offseason workouts before spring practice. According to Dr. Matt Rhea, Anderson is doing incredible things in the weight room and is making it look routine.
The junior has a chance to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
