Bill O’Brien to the New England Patriots is becoming a real possibility.
Reports have surfaced on the Las Vegas Raiders finalizing the deal to make Josh McDaniels its new head coach.

As the Patriot Way heads to Sin City, reporters such as ESPN’s Adam Schefter have linked O’Brien to New England.
RELATED: Could Bill O’Brien be heading back to New England with Bill Belichick?
He served under Belichick as an offensive assistant from 2007 to 2011. O’Brien coached wide receivers, quarterbacks and served as offensive coordinator at the time. He implemented the double tight end set (12 personnel) with the Patriots, and it allowed Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez to flourish. If it hires O’Brien, the Patriots may see good production from Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry.

On ESPN, Adam Schefter mentions Bill O’Brien as a possible replacement for Josh McDaniels. Seems very logical for many reasons.

Mac Jones helped Bill O’Brien learn the offense at Alabama. O’Brien and Jones would be a great fit together

Coaches that worked under Nick Saban at Alabama for a year or two get hired for new jobs quickly. O’Brien did some good things in 2021 with what he had as the Crimson Tide’s offensive play-caller. His return to the National Football League is looking highly possible.
