Nick Saban stated that 13 members of Alabama football’s 2022 recruiting class are early enrollees during his National Signing Day press conference Wednesday.
Each early enrollee is expected to go through Spring training and practice with the Crimson Tide. Here is a quick look at each of them.
Jeremiah Alexander
High School: Thompson (AL)
Evaluation: Alexander is listed at 6-foot-2 and 258 pounds, and he is projected to play outside linebacker for the Crimson Tide. The Thompson product is an explosive edge rusher with unreal strength. He will have an opportunity to learn behind Will Anderson and Dallas Turner this spring and next season. His dominance off the edge could help him find a spot early in the Tide’s OLB rotation.
Ty Simpson
High School: Westview (TN)
Evaluation: Simpson is listed at 6-foot-2 and 198 pounds. He is considered a magician in the pocket with his ability to escape pressure and deliver dimes while moving backward, left, right or forward. He does not possess elite speed, but he runs with toughness. The five-star could challenge Jalen Milroe for the Crimson Tide’s backup quarterback spot this spring.
Shawn Murphy
High School: Unity Reed (VA)
Evaluation: Murphy is listed at 6-foot-2 and 224 pounds. The Crimson Tide are projected to line him up at inside linebacker and prepare him to be a future leader on their defense. He is a head hunter who is always looking to inflict punishment. He operates well in space and has grown in pass coverage.
Aaron Anderson
High School: Edna Carr (LA)
Evaluation: Anderson is listed at 5-foot-9 and 184 pounds, and he is built like a running back. The Louisiana product was one of the most explosive players in the 2022 recruiting class. He has break-away speed and can put defenders in a blender with his elite route-running ability. He could be a difference-maker in year one.
Tyler Booker
High School: IMG Academy (FL)
Evaluation: Booker is listed at 6-foot-5 and 332 pounds. He has experience at playing guard and tackle. IMG Academy started Booker at left tackle during the 2021 football season, and he excelled there. He is an agile and strong offensive lineman who dominated one-on-ones on the camp circuit. The Connecticut native will have an opportunity to get on the field early.
Jihaad Campbell
High School: IMG Academy (FL)
Evaluation: Campbell is listed at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds. He is a hybrid linebacker who Alabama could line up at inside or outside linebacker. He closes on the football with great speed and can play sideline to sideline. He is elite in pass coverage as a linebacker.
Khurtiss Perry
High School: Pike Road (AL)
Evaluation: Perry is listed at 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds. He plays with a violent streak and has elite quickness off the snap of the football. The Crimson Tide will most likely line him up as an interior defensive lineman.
Kendrick Law
High School: Captain Shreve (LA)
Evaluation: Law is listed at 5-foot-11 and 193 pounds. He is the true definition of an athlete as he could play wide receiver or running back for Alabama. He has elite speed and runs with toughness. The Louisiana product also has great ball skills and can pull in contested catches across the middle of the field.
Tre’Quon Fegans
High School: Thompson (AL)
Evaluation: Fegans is listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. He is projected to line up at cornerback for the Crimson Tide. He shines in man-to-man coverage as he can turn and run with most wide receivers, and he knows how to make plays on the football.

Jamarion Miller
High School: Tyler Legacy (TX)
Evaluation: Miller is listed at 5-foot-10 and 201 pounds. He is a bigger back who runs with a physical style. He has good vision and will have an opportunity to develop within Alabama’s running back room for several seasons.
Jaheim Oatis
High School: Columbia (MS)
Evaluation: Oatis is a massive lineman at 6-foot-5 and 370 pounds. He moves extremely well for a prospect his size and he will have an opportunity to develop into a force in Tuscaloosa under Alabama’s strength and conditioning program.
Not to many 6-foot-5, nearly 300 pound defensive linemen can move like Alabama’s 4 star ⭐️ DT commit, Jaheim Oatis.

Elijah Brown

He has experience at lining up as an in-line tight end and is experienced at lining up flexed out wide. He has a basketball background and his athleticism translates to the gridiron.
Dayne Shor
High School: Denmark (GA)
Evaluation: Shor is listed at 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds. He is projected to play offensive tackle at the next level. He displayed good mobility during his high school football career.
