Alabama 5-star linebacker commit Shawn Murphy received some high praise from a legendary NFL defender on Wednesday.
NFL great Dick Butkus, praised Murphy’s ability while also comparing him to Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean in a social media post.

Murphy, who won the Butkus Award for the nation’s top high school linebacker back in December, was quick to respond to Butkus thanking him for words of encouragement.

A native of Manassas, Va., Murphy committed to the Crimson Tide in July and signed his national letter of intent in December.
