Jayden Wayne told Touchdown Alabama Saturday he will return to Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit on April 2.
Wayne is a 2023 five-star defensive end out of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington. He last visited Alabama in September to watch the Crimson Tide take on Southern Miss. He is returning to T-Town after members of Alabama’s coaching staff visited his high school in January, which meant a lot to the Alabama target.
“It means a lot that they are showing me love,” Wayne told Touchdown Alabama. “It makes it feel real. Alabama does not have to come all the way up here but they did.”
The Washington product released his top eleven in January as well and included Alabama football. He said he made the move to release a top school list because he did not want to wait too long to move on to the next stage in his recruitment.

Wayne is considered one of Alabama’s top defensive targets in the 2023 recruiting class. The 6-foot-5 prospect is projected to be an edge rusher at the next level.
