Keenum currently holds 28 D1 offers and is one of the top offensive lineman prospects inside the state of Alabama. Wolford has a relationship with Keenum that dates back to his time with the Wildcats. After being hired by the Tide, Wolford and Saban took a long look at Keenum’s film.
“My relationship with coach Wolford is really good,” Keenum said. “I went to Kentucky last summer, and he really liked me. When he moved to Alabama, he hopped on and got Saban to watch my film. Saban really likes my film and everything about me. He wants to see me in person to kind of meet with him and go from there. They are very interested in me, and I am expected to go back on June. 1 for camp and meet with Saban.”
The 2023 prospect camped at Kentucky last summer, and he got a chance to experience Wolford’s coaching style first hand.
“When I went to the camp, I got a chance to see how he coaches,” said Keenum. “He is very strong and firm with the way he coaches.”
The 6-foot-4, nearly 300 pounder is looking forward to showing Alabama’s coaches what he can do during the summer. He plans to take other visits during the spring at the moment and hopefully move to the next step in his recruitment in June.
“I am trying to narrow it down this summer, probably after June and hopefully commit in August,” said Keenum.
The Panthers line Keenum up at different positions across their offensive line. He plays with toughness and can pave the way for ball carriers. Alabama likes him as an interior offensive lineman.
