Under Armour hosted some of Alabama’s top targets in the 2023 and the 2024 recruiting classes for camp Sunday.
Touchdown Alabama was in attendance, and we were able to evaluate multiple Alabama targets. Here is a breakdown of what we saw:
Wilkin Formby – 4-Star OL (2023)
Formby is listed at 6-foot-7, and his height is not exaggerated. The Northridge product said he is closer to 6-foot-8 at the moment. His length allows him to carry his 300-pound frame with ease as he towered over most of the field. He displayed some great mobility throughout the camp during footwork drills and during one-on-ones, defenders attempted to go low on the lengthy prospect. He won most of his reps by just pushing those defenders in the dirt.
Ryqueze McElderry – 3-Star OL (2023)
McElderry took home the offensive lineman MVP Award after an impressive showing. His quickness and incredible strength made it hard for defenders to push him backward. He does not have the length of many top offensive lineman prospects, but he makes up for it with great upper and lower body strength. It is easy to see why he has not given up a sack throughout his high school career.

Daniel Calhoun – 4-Star OL (2024)
Calhoun held his own in a mostly senior-led group. The 6-foot-6 sophomore plays well beyond his age. Throughout the camp, he was fighting to be at the front of the line during drills. He showed he was able to make himself wide and difficult to get around during one-on-ones.
2024 OL, Daniel Calhoun @Danielcalhoun00 told me Alabama was standing out early in his recruitment earlier this month.

Hunter Osborne – 4-Star DL (2023)
Osborne’s length at 6-foot-4 and his hustle were evident during drills. He was also able to show his strong punch and his ability to operate in open space.

Xzavier McLeod – 4-Star DL (2023)
McLeod was one of the top defensive lineman performers at Sunday’s camp. His ability to bend and swim pass offensive lineman impressed many. He carries his 300-pound frame really well, which is impressive for a 6-foot-4 prospect.

Jamaal Jarrett – 4-Star DL (2023)
Jarrett took home the DL MVP award. He was difficult to contain with his combination of power and size at 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds. He knows how to control his body and was able to show off his high motor.
Justice Haynes – 4-Star RB (2023)
Haynes did not go through one-on-ones. He wrapped up his day after performing in running back drills, but that was enough to see why he is one of the top running backs in the country. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder is built like a tank with impressive muscle tone in his arms and legs. He breezed through the drills with impressive footwork, body control and balance.
Myles Graham – LB (2024)
Few linebackers move like defensive backs in coverage and Myles Graham is one of them. The 2024 prospect has a great frame for the inside linebacker position at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. he shined during the one-on-ones portion with his ability to cover the back out of the backfield.

Mario Craver – WR (2024)
Craver impressed throughout the day with his elite speed and route-running ability. He gave defensive backs problems during one-on-ones and his work during drills foreshadowed what was to come. He ran smooth routes and quickly got out of his breaks. He was able to create separation during one-on-ones and pulled in some impressive catches, including a one-hand grab.
I was blown away by 2024 WR, Mario Craver @MarioCraver at the Under Armour Camp today.

Caleb Downs – 5-Star DB
Similar to Haynes, Downs was down after one-on-ones, but he put good work on film. During defensive back drills, he flashed his speed and quickness.
Jaylen Mbakwe – DB (2024)
Mbakwe was one of the top defensive backs at the camp during the drill and one-on-ones portion. His technique got rave reviews from coaches at the event when he was running drills as he smoothly transition in and out of his backpedal. He shined during one-on-ones with his ability to be physical at the line of scrimmage.
Travaris Banks – DB (2024)
Banks’ size catches your eye the moment you see him. He is a true 6-foot-1 and has filled out his fame really well at 182 pounds. He performed well in drill work and one-on-ones. He plays with a physical style which caused some hand fighting between him and the receiver when the ball was in the air.
