Payton Kirkland announced his top five schools Friday via Instagram.
The Orlando, Florida product narrowed his 64 offers down to Alabama, Michigan State, Miami, Oklahoma and Florida. He is expected to announce his verbal commitment on July 23. The Alabama target plans to make several visits before he makes a decision.
The Crimson Tide will get Kirkland on campus on June 1. He told Touchdown Alabama he was in heavy contact with Alabama earlier this week.
“I hear from Alabama just about every day,” Kirkland said. “Me and coach (Eric) Wolford’s relationship is the same as always, and we have always been pretty locked in together.”
Kirkland is listed at 6-foot-7 and 325 pounds. He is considered one of the top tackle prospects in the 2023 recruiting class.
