Alabama head coach Nick Saban highlighted a freshman receiver in his post-scrimmage presser.
Jermaine Burton is the leader of the room and Traeshon Holden has been consistent this spring, but Aaron Anderson is looking like a bonafide playmaker. The five-star from Edna Carr High School (New Orleans, La.) caught Coach Saban’s attention with his speed, hands, and routes against the first-team defense. He became an explosive weapon in high school and demonstrated those traits over the weekend in the Crimson Tide’s first game-like practice. Saban is impressed with Anderson’s run after the catch ability, and credible sources have compared his skills to Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, Jaylen Waddle, and DeVonta Smith.

“He had a couple of big plays and did a nice job,” Saban said of Anderson. “He took a 5-yard pass and ran 35 to 40 yards on the first-team defense.”
Per sources, the 5-foot-9 speedster is “very impressive” and could be the freshman to “make an impact” on this team if needed.
Anderson, who is listed at 184 pounds on the roster, has incredible acceleration in his routes.
He is someone to keep your eyes on as we continue in spring practice. Anderson is looking to take someone’s spot.
