Aaron Anderson is a big-time athlete, and Alabama fans will see it soon.

As a five-star receiver from New Orleans, La., he stood out in last week’s scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Coach Nick Saban said Anderson made some plays, including a 5-yard pass for a huge gain. He has the vision, acceleration, and explosiveness that mirror Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, DeVonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle. During the play, Anderson caught a pass from Ty Simpson, spun out of Jordan Battle’s tackle, and ran down to the 8-yard line. Malachi Moore and Khyree Jackson tackled him, but Anderson puts some moves on the first-team defense. He is one of several freshmen to watch on this team.
