Alabama took the field on Monday for its ninth practice of spring football.
Transfer cornerback Eli Ricks was the highlight of the sessions. Cameras focused on the former LSU standout going through positional drills as he looks to lock up one of two starting spots. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder played in 16 games for the Tigers, including six in 2021. He collected 31 tackles, six pass breakups, and five interceptions. Ricks recorded four picks during his freshman season in 2020. He brings experience and big-play abilities to the Crimson Tide’s defensive secondary.
Ricks is learning the playbook and has ‘picked things up,’ per Nick Saban.
He and the Tide will have their tenth practice on Wednesday.
