Cam Robinson and J.C. Hassenauer sign franchise tenders for NFL teams

Cam Robinson celebrates big play for Jaguars
Kim Klement - USA Today Sports

Two Alabama alums have returned to their NFL teams on franchise tender deals.

Cam Robinson is back with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and J.C. Hassenauer returns to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Both are back on one-year contracts.

Robinson looks to assist Trevor Lawrence to a huge sophomore season while Hassenauer expects to help the new Steelers quarterback transition to life after Ben Roethlisberger. Robinson and Hassenauer were successful offensive linemen for the Crimson Tide. Robinson arrived as a five-star tackle from Louisiana in 2014 while Hassenauer came as a four-star center/guard prospect in 2014. Robinson was a three-time Southeastern Conference Champion (2014-16) and a College Football Playoff National Champion in 2015. He earned Unanimous All-American honors, first-team All-SEC accolades, the SEC’s Jacobs Blocking Trophy, and the Outland Trophy in 2016. Hassenauer played on two CFP national title teams in 2015 and 2017.
