Alabama football finished its final spring practice on Thursday before Saturday’s A-Day Game.
Bryce Young and the offense look to put on a show for Crimson Tide fans, but Pete Golding and the defense want to prove its elite status for the upcoming season. The practice footage from Alabama’s athletics department focused on running backs.
Trey Sanders led the group through drills, and Jahmyr Gibbs stood behind him. Jamarion Miller, a freshman, was fourth in position drills, but all backs look to have success. Travaris Robinson, Alabama’s cornerbacks’ coach, worked with corners and safeties through drills. Tide fans also got another look at transfer Eli Ricks performing work in the defensive secondary.
Coach Nick Saban had the defensive backs work on power as they hit the sled.
Offensively, quarterbacks and wide receivers trained on timing routes. JoJo Earle caught two passes from Young, and the sophomore receiver from Texas is looking to emerge. Aaron Anderson, a freshman, caught a pass from Jalen Milroe.
