Eli Ricks is about business, and it is the reason why Nick Saban got him from the transfer portal.
Alabama’s newest cornerback has performed well in spring practice, but he delivered a profound message to his doubters on social media about what he’s going to do this season. Ricks spent two years at Louisiana State University, posting 31 tackles, six pass breakups, and five interceptions in 16 games. As a California native, he was a five-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder wrote positive words of affirmation on his bathroom mirror in Tuscaloosa.
Some of those words included 5+ interceptions, 20+ breakups, winning the Jim Thorpe Award, becoming a first-team All-American, winning a College Football Playoff National Championship, and becoming a top-10 pick for the 2023 NFL Draft.
