Will Alabama fans see the reincarnation of the 2016 defense?
The A-Day Game hinted in that direction.
Alabama’s defense looked scary, dangerous, lethal, elite, and suffocating at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Bryce Young had such a hard time moving the Crimson team versus the White defense (first-team) that Nick Saban had to pull Will Anderson out of the game.
Anderson, Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Jamil Burroughs, and others had a field day. Between both defenses were 15 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, nine pass breakups, four quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions. Anderson, Turner, Braswell, and Burroughs totaled 2+ sacks. Jordan Battle and Kristian Story recorded an interception.
Brandon Williams, COO of Touchdown Alabama Magazine, was impressed with the defense. He returned with another video to break down how this group may be the reincarnation of the 2016 defense. This team can be dominant if everyone stays healthy.
