The popular football grading website Pro Football Focus released its 2023 Preseason NFL Draft big board which contained a total of six Alabama players and 23 total players from the Southeastern Conference.
Of the six players representing the Crimson Tide four players belonged to the defensive side of the ball and just two on offense. But unsurprisingly the top player on the board was Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and just behind him was outside linebacker Will Anderson.
Below are the six Alabama players on PFF’s 2023 Preseason Top 50 Big Board:
1) QB Bryce Young
2) LB Will Anderson
23) DB Eli Ricks
29) DB Brian Branch
40) WR Jermaine Burton
43) DB Jordan Battle
The Crimson Tide leads the way with the most players on the board from a single school with defending national champions Georgia just behind with five total players ranked.
After a week class of quarterbacks, the site says that Young “is not simply a product of the Alabama system — he is a bona fide playmaker with NFL-caliber arm talent.”
Several outlets project both Young and Anderson to be selected at the top of next year’s draft but this season will tell which one will be selected with the top pick.
